Praxair to Build Air Separation Plant in Bahrain4:50 AM MDT | October 26, 2010 | Deepti Ramesh Praxair says its Praxair Gulf Industrial Gases (Abu Dhabi) subsidiary has finalized an agreement with United Steel Company (SULB; Hidd, Bahrain), to supply oxygen, nitrogen and argon for its direct iron reduction plant and steel melt shop in the Al-Hidd industrial area in Bahrain. Praxair will build a new air separation plant with an oxygen capacity of more than 350 m.t./day, as part of the agreement. The plant will also produce liquid products for sale to the regional merchant market. The air separation plant will be owned and operated by a company...
