Linde Signs Deal for Borouge 3 Ethane Cracker

Borouge and Linde have signed a previously disclosed deal, under which Linde will build for Borouge a 1.5-million m.t./year ethane cracker at Borouge’s production site at Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The cracker will form part of the Borouge 3 petrochemical complex. The turnkey construction deal is worth $1.1 billion. The signing ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and German chancellor Angela Merkel. The contract was signed by Abdulaziz Alhajri, CEO of Borouge; and Wolfgang Reitzle...
