Cabot Builds Masterbatch Plant in Dubai6:22 AM MDT | June 26, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz Cabot Corp. says it plans to build a carbon black masterbatch manufacturing plant in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. The plant will have an initial capacity of 25,000 m.t./year with provisions for expansion to 75,000 m.t./year. Construction is due to start later this year and production is scheduled to begin in fall 2009. Cabot says the new plant will allow the company to better meet increasing demand in the Middle East, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
