Borouge to Build Second Compounding Plant in China

Borouge (Abu Dhabi) says it will build a compounding plant at Nansha, China, which will be the company’s second compounding plant in the country. Borouge opened a 50,000-m.t./year compounding plant at Shanghai last month, which supplies compounded polyolefin resins to the growing Chinese automotive and household appliance industries. Construction of the Nansha plant is expected to be completed by mid 2012, and provision will be made to produce up to 105,000 m.t./year of compounded polypropylene resins, Borouge says. “It is our intention to be a...
