Sipchem starts up ethyl and butyl acetate complex at Al Jubail

Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem; Al Khubar, Saudi Arabia) has started up its ethyl acetate and butyl acetate manufacturing plant at Al Jubail. The facility is owned by Sipchem Chemicals, a wholly owned Sipchem subsidiary. The plant’s capacity is 100,000 m.t./year of ethyl acetate and butyl acetate. The investment is in line with Sipchem’s plans to move downstream and to achieve full integration with its other manufacturing facilities.
