Sipchem restarts production of methanol after unscheduled shutdown

Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem; Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia) said today that it has restarted production at its methanol and carbon monoxide plants at Al Jubail, following an unscheduled interruption in production. The plants restarted on Wednesday after undergoing repairs and maintenance work to address malfunctions.  The restart has led to the downstream units producing acetic acid and butanediol also coming back onstream. ...
