Sipchem awards contract to eTEC for Diol debottlenecking project

Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem; Al Khubar) has awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to eTEC E&C (Seoul) to debottleneck and improve the efficiency and reliability of the complex operated by Sipchem’s subsidiary International Diol Co. (IDC). IDC, a joint venture with Huntsman and Davy Process Technology, produces butanediol, tetrahydrofuran, and gamma-butyrolactone.
