Sipchem Commissions VAM Plant

The Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) has announced the start up of its vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) plant by affiliate International Vinyl Acetate Co., at Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The plant is designed to produce 330,000 m.t./year of VAM. Sipchem started up its associated 345,000 m.t./year carbon monoxide and 450,000 m.t./year acetic acid plants at Jubail in June.
