Saudi Shipping Firm Takes Delivery of Chemical Tanker

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) says that its 80% owned subsidiary The National Chemical Carriers Co. (NCC) has taken delivery of a new chemical tanker, NCC Amal with capacity of 45,000 DWT from SHINAsb of South Korea. The tanker is one of nine vessels contracted by NCC from the Korean yard during 2006 - 2007 for a total value of approximately SAR 1.7 billion ($458.9 million).  NCC has additional eight vessels under construction at the SHINAsb yard  with a combined value of SR1.5 billion with deliveries expected during 2011 and...
