Regions :: Middle East :: Saudi Arabia Saudi Kayan Forms Three-Way JV to Build Butanol Plant; Partners Include Dow Chemical6:34 AM MST | January 31, 2011 | Ian Young Saudi Kayan Petrochemical, a Sabic affiliate, says it will build a previously announced n-butanol plant at Jubail, Saudi Arabia as a three-way joint venture. The company's partners in the jv will be Saudi Acrylic Acid Co. (SAAC); and a proposed jv between Saudi Aramco and Dow Chemical that is building a large-scale petrochemical complex at Jubail. Each partner will own 33.3% of the butanol plant. A jv agreement was signed on January 29.
