Saudi Arabia Takes Delivery of Chemical Carrier

The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has announced that the National Chemical Carriers (NCC), its 80% owned subsidiary, took delivery on August 3, 2012, of a new chemical carrier from a Korean shipyard. The 45,000 dwt carrier, named NCC Najem, was delivered by ShinaSB, previously known as SLS, as part of nine vessels previously contracted by NCC from this yard during 2006–2007 for a total value of approximately SR1.72 billion ($459.2 million).
