Petro Rabigh shuts refinery unit to change catalyst

Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co. (Petro Rabigh; Rabigh, Saudi Arabia), a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, is carrying out a planned shutdown of its vacuum gas oil hydrotreating unit to replace the catalyst at the facility. The shutdown starts today and will last for 23 days. Petro Rabigh plans to bring the unit back onstream on 19 April, after conducting safety procedures.
