Petro Rabigh Expansion Likely to be Put on Hold

Petro Rabigh, a petrochemicals joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, is likely to delay plans for a previously announced project to double capacity and diversify its product slate at the Rabigh, Saudi Arabia site, according to HSBC Holdings. Petro Rabigh’s partners were due to make a final investment decision on the $6 billion-$8 billion Rabigh II project at the end of last year.
