Regions :: Middle East :: Saudi Arabia Mideast Petchem Plants Begin Operations7:27 AM MDT | September 10, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Saudi Ethylene and Polyethylene Co., a joint venture among LyondellBasell, Sahara Petrochemical, and Tasnee Petrochemicals, has started up a 1-million m.t./year ethylene plant at Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The plant is currently producing on-spec ethylene, says Linde Engineering, which built the plant in a consortium with Samsung Engineering, and Fluor as project managing contractor.
