Intecsa Industrial awarded large fertilizer contract in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian Mining Co. (Ma’aden) has awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract to Intecsa Industrial (Madrid) to build a fertilizer plant. Value of the contract is 2.25 billion Saudi riyals ($599.9 million). The plant will produce a combined 3-million m.t./year of fertilizers, including mono- and di-ammonium phosphate and compound fertilizers, at Ras Al Khair as part of Ma’aden’s Waad Al Shamal Phosphate project.
