Dow Plans Polyol Blends Plant in Saudi Arabia

Dow Formulated Systems, a business unit of Dow Chemical that makes polyurethane and epoxy systems, says it plans to build and operate a plant at Jeddah, Saudi Arabia under a partnership with Saudi manufacturing, engineering, construction, distribution, and service company E.A. Juffali & Brothers. The plant will make polyol blends and is due onstream this year. Dow and Juffali operate two other joint ventures in Saudi Arabia under the name Arabian Chemical Co.
