BASF Ponders Plastic Additives Plant in Mideast; Eyes Expansion in Asia

BASF is considering plans to build a plastic additives facility in the Mideast and is studying possible expansion in Asia, CW has learned. Hans W. Reiners, president/performance chemicals at BASF,  told CW recently that the company is looking at how to be closer to its customers. "We are still importing more into the regions than we produce," he says.
