Sipchem begins commissioning of EVA-LDPE complex

Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem; Al Khubar) has announced that it has commenced operations at its International Polymers Co. (IPC) affiliate. Operations began on Thursday at IPC’s utility and off-site units with initial operations of some process units at the ethylene vinyl acetates and low-density polyethylene (EVA-LDPE) facilities at Al Jubail. Sipchem has 75% of IPC, and Hanwha Chemical the rest.    With the start-up of these units, IPC has completed the first phase of construction, which included the installation and...
