Saudi acrylic acid, EDC, and caustic soda projects begin trial runs

Sahara Petrochemicals (Riyadh) says the Saudi Acrylic Acid Co., its equally owned joint venture with National Industrialization Co. (Tasnee), has begun trial runs at some of its Al Jubail–based facilities, including utilities. The companies intend to begin experimental runs at the acrylic acid and butyl acrylate complex by the end of the second quarter of this year.
