Regions :: Middle East :: Qatar Shell Makes Progress with Qatar Natural Gas Projects8:53 AM MST | November 23, 2009 | Lindsey Bewley Royal Dutch Shell says its expects its two massive natural gas liquids (NGL) projects at Ras Laffan, Qatar, to be complete by the end of 2010. Qatargas 4, a 30-70 joint venture with Qatar Petroleum, will convert about 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas/day into liquefied natural gas (LNG) and NGLs. The facility has the capacity to produce 18.5 million tons/year of NGLs, 7.8 million tons/year of LNG and 70,000 boe/day of NGLs. LNG will be sold in China, Dubai and the United States, Shell says.
