Shell Makes Progress with Qatar Natural Gas Projects

Royal Dutch Shell says its expects its two massive natural gas liquids (NGL) projects at Ras Laffan, Qatar, to be complete by the end of 2010.   Qatargas 4, a 30-70 joint venture with Qatar Petroleum, will convert about 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas/day into liquefied natural gas (LNG) and NGLs. The facility has the capacity to produce 18.5 million tons/year of NGLs, 7.8 million tons/year of LNG and 70,000 boe/day of NGLs.
