Saipem Awarded Urea Plant Contract in Qatar

A consortium of Saipem (Milan) and Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Seoul)  has been awarded a $610-million lump sum turnkey contract to supply a previously announced urea manufacturing complex for Qatar Fertilizer Co. (Qafco; Doha). The complex, Qafco VI, will be built at Qafco's Mesaieed, Qatar manufacturing site and will be designed to produce 3,850 m.t./day of urea.
