Qatar and Korea form LED joint venture in Qatar

Qatar Intermediate Industries Co. (Alwaseeta; Doha), a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum, has signed a joint venture agreement with the Qatar Korea LED Consortium (QKLC; Seoul) for the establishment of a manufacturing facility for light-emitting diode (LED) lighting systems in Qatar. Alwaseeta is primarily involved in the development of intermediate and downstream industrial projects while QKLC represents Korean LED companies and governmental institutes, such as the Korea Photonics Technology Institute (KOPTI) and Korea Association for Photonics Industry Development...
