Industries Qatar plans lengthy plant closures in first quarter

Industries Qatar (IQ; Doha) on Sunday announced a tentative shutdown schedule for its manufacturing facilities during the first quarter. IQ’s shutdown timetable in the first quarter includes 35 days at the ethylene manufacturing facility, 34 days at the low-density polyethylene (LDPE) complex, 11 days at the linear LDPE plant, 10 days at the methanol facility, 8 days at the methyl tert-butyl ether plant, and 40 days at the ammonia and urea manufacturing complex.
