Regions :: Middle East :: Qatar Foster Wheeler Awarded Contract for MEG Plant Planned by Shell, QP in Qatar9:02 AM MDT | September 5, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Foster Wheeler announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Shell Global Solutions International to develop the basic engineering package for a previously announced monoethylene glycol (MEG) plant, which will be built in a joint venture with Qatar Petroleum (QP) at Ras Laffan, Qatar. The two-train MEG facility, based on Shell's Omega technology, is planned to produce 1.5 million m.t./year.
