Regions :: Middle East :: Oman Oman Oil Agrees on Financing for Methanol Plant11:25 AM MDT | October 3, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Oman Oil Co. says it has completed financial arrangements for a previously announced methanol complex planned by Salalah Methanol Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Oman Oil, at Salalah, Oman (CW, March 21, p. 24). A group of lenders, including local, regional, and international commercial banks will provide loans covering 65% of the OR350-million ($909 million) project, which, in addition to the 1-million m.t./year methanol plant, includes a power generation plant, a water desalination unit, and seawater intake and supply facilities.
