Regions :: Middle East :: Oman Octal Pursuing Lead in Consumer Packaging12:39 PM MST | December 10, 2007 | RC Octal (Muscat, Oman) is investing $300 million dollars to expand its amorphous polyethylene terephthalate (APET) sheet-making capacity from 30,000 m.t./year to 300,000 m.t./year. The expansion is expected to come online in May of next year at the company’s Salalah, Oman manufacturing complex. The expansion will make Octal five times larger than the next merchant producer of APET sheet, the company says. “The APET market is poised for explosive growth.
