GPCA day 3: Scarce gas supplies putting pressure on Mideast petchem producers

Day three of this year’s Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) forum in Dubai included presentations on sustainability, refocusing business models to meet new world order, and the rise of green petrochemicals. Kicking off the final day of the conference, Abdulwahab Al Sadoun, secretary general of GPCA noted that the Arabian Gulf accounts for 20% of the world’s proven natural gas reserves but only for 11% of total output.
