(NPC; Tehran) will not be privatized as one whole as was previously anticipated, according to a report in the Iranian Economic Digest (IED). Quoting the head of National Iranian Oil Company's (Tehran) privatization head, Ali Kardor, IED says that instead, NPC will be privatized subsidiary by subsidiary because "a number of petrochemical companies have already been sold." Gholam Hossein Nozari, minister of petroleum of Iran, recently said that the government of Iran considers privatization of the petrochemical sector...
