Arvand, majority owned by the National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran), is designed to produce 585,000 m.t./year of chlorine, 660,000 m.t./year of caustic soda, 890,000 m.t./year of ethylene di-chloride, and 300,000 m.t./year of suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as well as 40,000 m.t./year of emulsion PVC.
