Arvand PVC Complex Nearing Completion

The Arvand petrochemical complex at Bandar Imam, Iran is nearing completion and is expected to be officially inaugurated shortly. Arvand, majority owned by the National Petrochemical Co. (NPC; Tehran), is designed to produce 585,000 m.t./year of chlorine, 660,000 m.t./year of caustic soda, 890,000 m.t./year of ethylene di-chloride, and 300,000 m.t./year of suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as well as 40,000 m.t./year of emulsion PVC.
