Report: Iran produced 40 million m.t. of petrochemicals in 2012–13

Iran manufactured 40 million m.t. of petrochemicals between March 2012 and March 2013. Of this total, 28 million m.t. were available for export, and about 15.8 million m.t. were exported, worth about $11.2 billion, according to a report from Fars News Agency. "The share of petrochemicals in non-oil exports was 38%, while petrochemical products accounted for 47% of industrial exports," says Ramezan Oladi, planning manager at National Petrochemical Co.
