Saudi Kayan cancels ultra high molecular weight PE project at Al Jubail

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Co., a Sabic affiliate, today said that it has decided to cancel its previously announced high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) project at Al Jubail. The company says that feasibility studies have shown that the project does not align with its development strategy. Kayan said on 25 April 2012 that it was planning to build an UHMWPE plant at Kayan’s Al Jubail site.
