Saudi Chemical Reports Higher Q2 Profit

Saudi Chemical Co. (SCC; Riyadh), a producer of civil explosives, today reported a 14% rise in second quarter net profit to SR86.7 million ($23.12 million). This compares with SR87.8 million achieved in the first quarter of this year. Operating profit in the second quarter reached SR97.4 million compared with SR84.2 million in the second quarter of 2011.
