Regions :: Middle East Sabic and ExxonMobil Award Contracts for Elastomers Complex11:16 AM MDT | May 31, 2011 Sabic and ExxonMobil Chemical have awarded front-end engineering design (FEED) contracts for a previously announced multibillion-dollar elastomers complex that will be built at the site of the companies’ 50-50 joint venture Al Jubail Petrochemical (Kemya). Jacobs Engineering and Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding have been awarded the FEED contracts for the process units. Fluor Transworld Services will be responsible for the associated support facilities. The complex will have capacity to produce more than 400,000 m.t./year combined of butyl rubber...
