The company’s alyl alcohol plant was taken off line on 15 March for about 20 days to change the existing catalyst in order to improve efficiency. The shutdown has had a knock-on effect on the company’s epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant, which uses feedstock from the alyl alcohol facility.
