Nama Chemicals shuts down units for unscheduled maintenance

Nama Chemicals (Al Jubail) says it has shut down a part of its production complex to carry out unscheduled maintenance. The company’s alyl alcohol plant was taken off line on 15 March for about 20 days to change the existing catalyst in order to improve efficiency.   The shutdown has had a knock-on effect on the company’s epichlorohydrin (ECH) plant, which uses feedstock from the alyl alcohol facility.
