Israel Chemicals reviewing bromine operations, to close magnesium plant

The board of directors of Israel Chemicals (ICL; Tel Aviv) has instructed the management of the Bromine Compounds Co. to develop and implement a plan to improve the profitability of this operation. Bromine compounds form part of ICL’s industrial products segment. The company announced earlier this month that it may discontinue manufacturing some products, including bromine compounds.
