Iran's second Kavyan ethylene plant to come online this year

The National Petrochemical Co.’s (NPC; Tehran) director/production Ali Bossaghazadeh says that the second phase of the Kavyan petrochemical complex will come online this year. Each of the Kavyan lines at Assaluyeh in the south of Iran is designed to produce 1 million m.t./year of ethylene. The main units of the second line are currently undergoing trial runs and the complex is expected to start operations gradually during the second half. The first phase of the complex is operating satisfactorily and new supplies of feedstock from the South Pars gas field...
