GPCA: Qatar Will Proceed with Two Petchem Projects; CPChem Competes with Qapco

Qatar Petroleum (QP; Doha) is expected to proceed with two petrochemical projects, including one that was recently signed with Shell Chemicals. Speaking to CW on the sidelines of the annual GPCA Forum in Dubai, Hamad Rashid Al Mohannadi, deputy chairman of QP said that the company is discussing two alternative proposals for the second complex at Ras Laffan, one with Qatar Petrochemical Co.
