Dow and Aramco confirm $20-billion saudi JV

Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco have confirmed CW’s exclusive report that they are going ahead with a previously announced multibillion-dollar joint venture, to be known as Sadara Chemical Co. (CW, July 18/25, p. 7). The companies’ boards have approved formation of the jv, which will build and operate a world-scale, fully integrated chemicals complex at Jubail, Saudi Arabia at a cost of approximately $20 billion.
