CB&I outlines technology awards for Oman petchem project

CB&I on Wednesday gave additional details relating to its contracts with Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co. (Orpic; Muscat) for Orpic’s Liwa plastics project. CB&I's scope of work includes the license and engineering design of three units in addition to the previously announced award for its ethylene technology and front end engineering and design services.   CB&I will provide its CDMtbe technology for a new 90,000-m.t./year high conversion methyl tert-butyl ether unit, the technology for a 41,000 m.t./year butene-1 recovery...
