Regions :: Middle East BASF Builds Large Antioxidants Plant in Bahrain6:19 AM MDT | July 20, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF has announced plans to build an antioxidants blends (CSB) plant in Bahrain. These are key additives used in the production of polymers and will be tailor made for customers in the Mideast. Construction of the new 16,000 m.t./year facility will start in September 2011 with completion scheduled by end of 2012. It will become one of the world’s largest such plants. This is a major investment by BASF in the plastic additives business following its acquisition of Ciba in 2009. The new plant will be in addition to the existing manufacturing agreement...
