Aramco-Dow Megaproject Could Face a One-Year Delay

A $27-billion refinery and petrochemicals joint venture between Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco at Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia could be delayed for up to one year, according to a report in the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED). Aramco told contractors last month that it had decided to delay bidding on the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the refinery portion of the project until further notice, MEED says.
