Advanced Petrochemical signs new propylene deal with Satorp, ups PP output

Advanced Petrochemical (Al Jubail), a producer of propylene and polypropylene (PP), has signed an agreement with Satorp—the Saudi Aramco-Total refinery and aromatics joint venture—which increases the company’s purchases of propylene. The initial deal between the two companies was for the supply of 50,000 m.t./year of propylene to Advanced. Following the signing of a new agreement on 1 August, supplies will rise to a total of 80,000 m.t./year, Advanced says. Supplies will begin from 1 January 2014 under the new five-year agreement.
