Wacker expands silicones technical center at Kolkata

Wacker Chemie today opened an expanded technical center for silicone products at Amtala, near Kolkata, India. Wacker Metroark Chemicals (WMC), a joint venture in which Wacker has 51% and Metroark the balance, operates the center. The enlarged regional center now comprises state-of-the-art applications technology and test equipment for silicone products used in the textiles, personal-care, and construction industries.
