Vale signs 5-year deal for supply of rock phosphate to Iffco

Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (Iffco; New Delhi) and Vale (Rio de Janeiro) have signed a five-year agreement, under which Vale will supply Iffco with rock phosphate from its Bayóvar mines, in Peru, for the manufacture of phosphate fertilizers, Vale has confirmed. Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, and contractual volumes have yet to be determined. India imports about 90% of the phosphate it consumes.
