Tata Acquires Stake in Toronto Potash Firm

Valley Holdings (East Hanover, NJ), a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Chemicals, says it has acquired a 32.9% stake in potash firm EPM Mining Ventures (Toronto) on an undiluted basis, and another 15.9% of common shares assuming conversion of non-voting shares into common shares on a one-for-one basis. The deal was finalized Monday, upon the closure of a merger deal between EPM and Yukon, Inc,  a Salt Lake City-based mining services firm with Utah potash leases.
