Solvay to Acquire Surfactants Manufacturer in India

Solvay says it has signed an agreement to acquire a controlling interest in Sunshield Chemicals (Mumbai), a company specializing in surfactants, from Amit Choksey Group. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Sunshield Chemicals, which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (Mumbai), produces and exports surfactants, cross-linkers, and antioxidants.
