Solvay Enters PEEK Production With Indian Plant

Solvay Advanced Polymers (Alpharetta, GA), a Solvay subsidiary, opened its first commercial plant for the production of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) recently at Panoli in the state of Gujarat, India. The 500-m.t./year facility uses the nucleophilic process developed by Solvay at the company’s Alpharetta site to produce n-PEEK, which it markets under the KetaSpire brand.
