Shaw Awarded Contract for Ethylene Plant in India

The Shaw Group says it has been awarded a contract by Gail India (New Delhi) to provide technology and engineering for a previously announced ethylene plant at Pata, India. The ethylene unit will have a capacity of 450,000 m.t./year and it will form part of a petrochemical complex planned by Gail at Pata. Shaw will also provide support during detailed engineering, procurement, and construction, as well as commissioning and start-up. Financial terms were not disclosed.
