Reliance to Invest $10 Billion on Projects in India; Includes Facilities for Acetic Acid, Carbon Black, LAB

Reliance Industries will invest about $10 billion on several projects in India over the next 3-4 years, a source from the company tells CW. Some of the main projects were outlined in a presentation made by the company at the Indian Petrochem-2010 conference held in Mumbai earlier this week. The projects, which are all in their initial stages of planning, include an acetyl complex with a production capacity of 740,000 m.t./year of acetic acid and 150,000 m.t./year of acetic anhydride; a carbon black facility with a production capacity of 800,000 m.t./year...
