JBF Petrochemicals Builds Large PTA Plant in India

JBF Petrochemicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of JBF Industries (Mumbai), will build a 1.25-million m.t./year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Mangalore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Ltd. The company has signed an agreement for licensing BP’s latest generation PTA technology to be used in the plant, which JBF expects onstream at the end of 2014.
