Regions :: India/Pakistan JBF Petrochemicals Builds Large PTA Plant in India9:44 AM MDT | July 6, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz JBF Petrochemicals, a wholly owned subsidiary of JBF Industries (Mumbai), will build a 1.25-million m.t./year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Mangalore Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Ltd. The company has signed an agreement for licensing BP’s latest generation PTA technology to be used in the plant, which JBF expects onstream at the end of 2014. JBF Industries is a global polyester producer with combined capacity for 1.1 million m.t./year at the plants at Sarigam and Silvassa, India; and in Ra's al-Khaymah in the UAE.
